  • Can I book the studio outside of your listed office hours?
    Yes! Contact us here or e-mail hello@jackiesterna.com for requests :)
  • What does the studio look like?
    See our studio gallery here!
  • Arriving / Leaving Studio Bookings
    Your rental time includes load-in, setup, tear down, and cleaning. Please arrive and pack up on time, as we cannot accommodate early or late arrivals due to other reservations. This helps us maintain a respectful and efficient use of the space. We reserve the right to bill an additional fee of $15+ for late departure and/or an excessively dirty studio dependent on the extent of the situation.
  • Cancellation / No-Show Policy
    CANCELLATIONS Guests can cancel up to 48 hours before the booking time to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event start time are non-refundable. NO-SHOWS No-shows are non-refundable.
  • When can I book the studio?
    Our standard private booking hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 7 pm. We request a 7-day notice to ensure our members have ample time for planning and can anticipate the studio being reserved. However, if you have special requests, such as weekend bookings, extended hours, or last-minute shoots, please don't hesitate to reach out!
  • Are there any additional fees, such as cleaning or overtime charges?
    We reserve the right to bill an additional fee of $15+ for late departure and/or an excessively dirty studio dependent on the extent of the situation. If any furniture or prop items are damaged or stolen, we reserve the right to charge the card on file for the cost of the item. There is a $20 fee for full roll out of white seamless on the floor, or destroyed paper (tears, spills)
  • Do you offer any discounts or memberships for frequent studio renters?
    Yes, we have multiple membership options you can check out here!
  • What gear do you have available for us to use in studio?
    You can check out our gear list here!
  • How many people can come to my studio booking?
    Maximum of 5 people per party (unless agreed upon prior) Please have everyone in your party review our parking and building details prior arrival.
  • Do studio hours include photography services with Jackie?
    Studio hours do not include photography services; they refer to the hours you rent the studio for your personal use, either on your own or with a photographer. You can inquire for Jackies photography services here :)
  • Why would I need to book the studio if my membership already includes Open Studio access?
    We recommend booking (private) studio time when you are working on a client project or when you want the space to yourself at a guaranteed time.
  • When is the workspace open?
    Our standard co-working hours are M-F 11 am to 5 pm, but we understand that creativity and productivity have their own schedule. If you find yourself on a roll and working late, don't worry; you can say as late as you need. Additionally, if you need early access, just let us know :)
  • How will I know when the studio is booked and I can't access the workspace?
    All bookings will be visible on a shared Google Calendar that members have access too. All private studio bookings must be made 7 days in advance.
  • Who are your memberships for?
  • Does the Studio Membership include Jackie's photography services?
    The Studio Membership does not include photography services; the hours included in this package are hours you rent the studio for your personal use, either on your own or with a photographer.
  • How often does your pricing change?
    To ensure the sustainable operation of our services and space we will make necessary adjustments to our pricing structure as needed. Membership Contracts, Retainer Contracts and pre-booking lock you in to the prices at the time of purchase.
  • Do you offer any free trials?
    We periodically host free studio days where people can come in to use the space. As far as trials, we provide a one-time, one-month, no-commitment paid trial for each membership type at our standard pricing.
  • How many members are you accepting?
    This depends on the type of memberships booked and the requests in the applications. Our top priority is to ensure that everyone has the space they need when they want it. We're thinking somewhere of around 10 members.
  • What are 1:1 Mentorship or Creative Consulting Sessions?
    Whether you need help with brainstorming, managing client emails, discussing rates, systems, products, portfolio, or have other industry questions - Jackie is at your disposal! No gatekeeping. Calls are priced at $150 for a 50-minute session and are included in the Creative & Premium Memberships. Non-members can book 1:1 Mentorship Call (for artists) or a Creative Consulting Call (for brands) with Jackie Sterna here.
  • As a Studio Member, are there any additional fees when using the studio?
    We reserve the right to bill an additional fee of $15+ for excessively dirty studio dependent on the extent of the situation. To ensure the ongoing success of our open studio, please practice the "leave no trace" principle. This contributes to maintaining a clean and functioning environment for everyone. If any furniture or prop items are damaged or stolen, we reserve the right to charge the card on file for the cost of the item. There is a $10 fee for full roll out of white seamless on the floor, or destroyed paper (tears, spills) (This is half the price of the non-member fee)
  • What are the membership commitment requirements?
    Given the constraints on our community's membership capacity, we are prioritizing building it in a sustainable manner. Our focus is on building lasting relationships with community members rather than frequent turnover. Ultimately, we aim to organize exclusive member events and offer a platform for our members to showcase their services to the public, facilitating bookings and career growth.   • How much Open Studio time do members receive?
    This varies day by day but to ensure our members have ample open studio time, there's a collective limit of 30 hours per month for booking private studio time shared among all guests (members & non-members.) We are working to find the optimal balance for everyone, so please share your thoughts and we will work to make sure that you are satisfied with the amount of studio time you have access to!
  • How does the Open Studio work?
    Open studio time is just as it sounds – the studio is open and available for member's use while they are in the space working, as long as it hasn't been reserved for a private booking. The open studio operates on a first-come, first-served basis. We request members to be considerate when sharing the studio space during these hours. To accommodate everyone, solo usage is limited to 1-hour time blocks if others are waiting. Collaboration is encouraged! :)
